About Jill Dowell

Jill Dowell's journey toward her career as a painter of fine art began with various forms of artistic engagement and expression.  From an early age, she exhibited a great love and talent for music and followed its calling to pursue a Bachelor of Music Degree in Applied Voice from the University of Illinois, studying with the beloved and renowned baritone, William Warfield. Her academic pursuits included the study of French, Italian and German, as well as philosophy - all of which ultimately contributed to the visionary aspects of her creations. Through these experiences, and with the guidance of a beloved art mentor, the stage was set for the blossoming of her personal expression as a painter of fine art. 

The artwork Jill creates, as an abstract painter, reflects the integration of aspects of sound and color. Rhythm and movement are guiding elements of each composition she creates. Modern and contemporary, Jill's works are both sophisticated and bold, while embracing organic elements. Through the use of vivid colors, texture and movement she follows her intuitive process to bring forth a composition, inspiring a shared emotional response.

Le parcours de Jill Dowell vers sa carrière de peintre des beaux-arts a commencé par diverses formes d'engagement et d'expression artistique. Dès son plus jeune âge, elle a montré un grand amour et un grand talent pour la musique et a suivi son chemin pour poursuivre un baccalauréat en musique en voix appliquée de l'Université de l'Illinois, étudiant avec le célèbre et bien-aimé baryton, William Warfield. Ses activités académiques comprenaient l'étude du français, de l'italien et de l'allemand, ainsi que la philosophie - qui ont finalement toutes contribué aux aspects visionnaires de ses créations. Grâce à ces expériences, et avec les conseils d'un mentor artistique bien-aimé, le décor était planté pour le développement de son expression personnelle en tant que peintre des beaux-arts.

Le travail que Jill crée, en tant que peintre abstrait, reflète l'intégration des aspects du son et de la couleur. Le rythme et le mouvement sont les éléments directeurs de chaque composition qu'elle crée. Modernes et contemporaines, les œuvres de Jill sont à la fois sophistiquées et audacieuses, tout en embrassant des éléments organiques. Grâce à l'utilisation de couleurs vives, de textures et de mouvements, elle suit son processus intuitif pour produire une composition, inspirant une réponse émotionnelle partagée.
